The "March On Fort Whoop-Up" is a weekly comic page depicting the formation of the North-West Mounted Police, the forerunner of today's Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Having played an integral part in Alberta's history we find it appropriate to begin their story around the first of September, Alberta's centennial anniversary. The serial runs in two weekly papers published by the Lethbridge Herald, the "Sun Times", and the "Prairie Post". It is planned to run for forty-four weeks.
